GENNIE V. BELL
Mrs. Gennie Viese McDaniel Bell, 81, of Williamsburg died Wednesday, March 13, 2002.
Born April 25, 1920, in Forrest County, Miss., she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Tennie McGee McDaniel. Mrs. Bell spent her early childhood in Brooklin, Miss., and later graduated from Mississippi Southern University in 1942. Mrs. Bell was married to Col. Thomas L. Bell, who died in July of 1997. Together, they traveled the world on various military assignments. For much of her life, Mrs. Bell was a homemaker taking care of her family, perhaps the most important job anyone can have. Later, she taught school in Burke, Va.
In 1976, Col. and Mrs. Bell retired to Williamsburg. Surviving is her son, Tom.
Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Bucktrout Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Milt Hines officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. Monday in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday.
