George A. Tyler Succumbs Here

George A. Tyler, 82, of 217 Egan St., died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Confederate Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

A native of Conway, Ark., Mr. Tyler had been a resident of Shreveport for 40 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Darrell Foster, pastor of the Caddo Heights Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Forest Park.

Survivors include two sons, Loy L. Tyler of Shreveport and Lonnie R. Tyler; two daughters, Mrs. Anita V. Riley of Livermore, Calif., and Mrs. Ron Nielsen of Fort St. James, British Columbia; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Cook of Shreveport; a brother, John C. Tyler of Dallas and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ellis V. Harlan, Ralph Farris, Curtis Miller, Raymond W. Wickard, S. E. Nielsen and Connard F. Yancey.
