George A. Davis

SALINE -- George Alfred Davis, 74, died Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Magnolia Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Baker and the Rev. Sherman Jeffers officiating. Burial will be in the Old Saline Cemetery under the direction of the Edmonds Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, Fred Davis, Robert Davis and G. A. Davis, all of Saline; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Freeman of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Ernestine Butler of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Essie Phillips of Warren, Tex., Mrs. Bessie Potts of Jonesboro, Mrs. Ethel Harper of Saline and Mrs. Gracie Potts of Bienville; three brothers, Emmett Davis of Sibley, Grady Davis of Saline and Leonard Davis of Arcadia; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
