Funeral services for George Daniel Clark, of Monroe, will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, November 16, 2012, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Reverend Leo Crawford of Clearwater, FL, officiating; former priest of Christ Episcopal Church, Bastrop, LA. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Clark passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in 1933 and lived in the Monroe area all his life. He was the owner of George Clark Chevrolet-Olds in Bastrop and was very active in many community services. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean conflict.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John William Clark; and his wife, Peggy Hines Clark.

Survivors include his best friend, Toni Clark Barkley; son, Barrett Russell Clark; brother, John W. Clark, Jr., and wife Patricia; and several nieces and nephews and many many friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Fitzgerald, Mike Barkley, Mark Clark, Greg Smith, Randy Parker, and Timothy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Dye, Jerry Ragus, and Karen Dye.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
