GEORGE E. DAVIS

The funeral for George E. Davis, 58, 1411 Winona, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Geisendorf Rush Smith Funeral Home, the Rev. Rene Colow officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Davis died Thursday at Asbury Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Nov. 22, 1919, at Hazzard, Ky. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1960 after 22 years. He had lived in Salina since then and was employed by the May Answering Service. He was a World War 2 veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the Nazarene Church, Salina.

Surviving are four daughters, Diana and Monica Davis, both of the home, and Cheryl Davis, and Mrs. Cynthia Blakey, both of Springfield, Mo.; a son, Charles W., Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Clay E. , 222 S. Front; a sister, Mrs. Nora Lykins, 44 College Court; his mother, Mrs. May Scrivner, 222 S. Front, and six grandchildren. Mr. Davis' wife, Doris, died in 1964.
