Funeral services will be held for George E. Woods, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Arcadia, on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 10:00 AM. Rev. Jeff Hoffman and Rev Harlan Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday July 24, 2007.
Mr. Woods was born October 6, 1917, to W. R. Woods and Georgia Holland Woods. He entered into rest July 23, 2007 in West Monroe Louisiana. He was active in the First Baptist Church Arcadia.
Mr. Woods, a native of Bienville Parish, LA, was active in the Real Estate and Oil and Gas Business in the Ark-La-Tex area.
Mr. Woods is survived by his wife, Mary E. Jones Woods; one son, Dr. Ronald Woods and wife, Patricia Woods; and, four grandchildren, Roxanne Woods Bennett, Monique, Brandon and Michael, Woods.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Woods, Michael Woods, Mickey Bennett, James L. Loe, Randal Murphy and Dan Madden.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Dub Smith, Dr. Tom Lolley, Ken Murphy, Joe Reeves and John Pilgreen.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church, Arcadia, LA.
