George D. Goodnight, 77, a Retired Operations Manager at Northwest MS Regional Medical Center, Clarksdale, MS., died June 11, 2013 at Golden Living , Southaven, MS. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS. with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Goodnight graduated high school and joined The United States Air Force , served in Vietnam. He retired from The United States Air Force. He was a Baptist .
Survivors include: a son George “Bubba” Goodnight (Theresa) of Southaven, MS.; 2 grandchildren, Eric Goodnight and Jenna Carlies.
Preceded in death by Wives, Dorothy Overstreet and Joann Hitt; parents, Lloyd Goodnight and Laura [sic Lora] Smith Goodnight.
