Funeral services for Mr. George H. Richardson, 69, of Jonesville will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church, Manifest, on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Robert Vickers and Lloyd Trisler, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.
Mr. Richardson died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a resident of Jonesville. He worked for 33 years with the Louisiana Department of Transportation as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Pisgah Baptist Church in Manifest. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as a member of the Hill-Gator Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mary Richardson; father, George Redden Richardson; and mother, Gladys Heard Richardson.
Survivors include his son, Greg and Karen Richardson of Jonesville; daughter, Alice and Rodney True of Opelousas; grandsons, Christopher True and Gregory True of Opelousas and sister, Margery Wroten of West Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Joe Ivey, Steven Randall, Jimmy Randall, W.D. Thompson, Jr., George Wroten, and J.R. Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Richey and Roy True.
