George Henry Tyler
Funeral services for George Henry Tyler, 67, of Baskin were held Wednesday at Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Karen Rogers and the Rev. Leroy Dickinson officiating.
Interment followed at Pleasant Hale Cemetery near Baskin under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Tyler died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995 at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe. He attended Union Presbyterian Church in Baskin and was a retired school bus driver for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Tyler, Baskin; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Tyler and Kenneth Wayne Newsom, Hattiesburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Sandy Tyler, and Ed and Tressie Tyler, all of Baskin; stepfather and step mother, Louis D. and Bill Stephenson, Baskin; four granddaughters, Terri and Ken Harrell, Delhi; Tina Newsom, Hattiesburg; Rebecca Lee and Luraen Elizabeth Tyler, Baskin; one great-grandchild, Brittany Lynn Harrell; one sister, Carolyn Schriver, Baskin; one brother, Rev. Vernon Stephenson, Many.
Pallbearers were Alton McKeithen, George Robinson, Stephen Searcy, Wade Wright, Ken Harrell and Bob Purvis.
Honorary pallbearers were Baskin School bus drivers.
