George Isaac Allbritton
Funeral service for George Isaac Allbritton will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Robeline with Reverends Brian Ray, Truman Leach and David Elkins officiating. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Robeline. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches and on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 8:30 am until service time at First Baptist Church in Robeline.
George Allbritton, 87 years of age, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. George was born June 12, 1924 to the late William and Elena Holmes Allbritton in Tullos, LA. He was a retired building contractor, served as minister of several local churches and served as a proud Marine in World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lena Allbritton of Robeline; one son, Nathan Allbritton and wife Lisa of Grand Bayou; two daughters, Laurice Lambert and husband Larry of Robeline, Sheila Peeples and husband Randy of Robeline; three sisters, Dorothy Wheeler of Tallahasee, Florida, Rose Dartez of Negreet, and Alice Parker of Bastrop; his grandchildren, Leah Eubanks, Laura Wilson, David Lambert, Larry Lambert, Jr., Timothy Isgitt, Jenny Isgitt, Brian Ray, Andrea Pickett, Jenny Peeples, Amanda Allbritton Brady, Cade Maroney; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, William and Elena Holmes Allbritton; one daughter, Karen Rinehart; two sisters, Odessa Allbritton and Eloise Allbritton; four brothers, W.H. Allbritton, Otto Allbritton, Johnny Allbritton and O.D. Allbritton; two grandsons, Justin Allbritton and Jason Lightfoot; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Allbritton.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Connor Wilson, Kyle Bickham, Brad Pickett, Tim Isgitt, David Lambert, Shean Brady, Wayne Berry and Dale Ford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Doolittle, Terry Lambert, Bob Alost, Tom Walker and Paul Morris.
In lieu of floral contributions, donations may be made to the Central Baptist Church Cemetery fund or Natchitoches Southern Baptist District 8 missions fund by contacting Lee Dickson.
