George M. Abrams, Resident of Jena

George M. Abrams, 83, of Jena died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Administration Hospital.

Abrams was a logger, a native of Royal, La., and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie Mae Abrams of Jena; three sons, J. L. Abrams of Arlington, Texas, Paul Abrams of Ball and Bobby Abrams of Denham Springs; three daughters, Ann Sleeth of Edenburg, Texas, Goldie Vaughan of Mansfield, Texas, Marie Decker of Euless, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were at 11 a.m. today in the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. W. D. Carson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Pineville.
