George L. Rollins

GEORGE L. ROLLINS, 79, of Sherwood, died Wednesday. Mr. Rollins was a Surgical Technician in the Army-Air Force during WWII, a member of the Baring Cross Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Couples Class and retired from the V.A. Hospital.

Survivors are his wife, Gladys J. Rollins; two sons, Jeff Rollins and fiancee Cindy Mize of Sherwood, and Terry Rollins and wife, Rita of Little Rock; two daughters, Pat Guajardo and husband, Juan of North Little Rock and Sande Young and husband, Jimmy of Cabot; two brothers, Byron Rollins of Mission City, Kansas, and H.D. Rollins of Lonoke; two sisters, Willie Thomas of Bastrop, La. and Thurzie Moody of Delight; six grandchildren, Beth Fahr of Little Rock, John Guajardo of North Little Rock, Janie Childress of Portland, Maine, Annette Shook of Cordova, Tenn., Chad Young of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Ryan Rollins of Little Rock; four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jordan Guajardo of North Little Rock, Alex Fahr of Little Rock and Andrew Shook of Cordova, Tenn.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, at the Baring Cross Baptist Church, North Little Rock, with Dr. Marty Watson and Rev. John Holston officiating with Louis Criswell singing. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Austin by Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.

Pallbearers will be Tom Mayden, John Guajardo, Chad Young, Kenneth Scott, Mike Shook and Mike Fahr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Baring Cross Baptist Church.
