Mr. George Robert Emmons, age 75 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012.

Born Friday, June 26, 1936 in Sikes, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Father, Winfred Sebastian Emmons, Mother, Clara Elizabeth Emmons, Son, Ronald Lee Emmons and two Brothers, Martel Wilson Emmons and Winfred Emmons, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 58 years, Lotte Emmons, Son, Robert M. Emmons of Sikes, LA, Son, Thomas E. Emmons of Springdale, AR, Daughter, Carolyn R Stephens and husband Leroy C. of Belleview, FL, Four Grandchildren - Michael Scott, Natalie Aaron, Alexandra Deere and Ethan Thomas, One Great Grandchild - Jacob Walker, Two Brothers, Glenroy Emmons and Fontaine Emmons and Sister, Elinor Hartsell.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM , and again on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Sikes Baptist Church, from 8:30 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Sikes Baptist Church with Revs. Kenneth Tarver and Wallace Ingles and Freeman Crain officiating. Interment will follow in Sikes Cemetery.
