George W. Slocum

Burial services for George W. Slocum, 82, of Winona, were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Lee Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. He was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Norris Corley officiated the services. Slocum died at the Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital Saturday, Jan. 12, 1985.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Therrel and Mrs. Rebecca Campbell, both of Carrollton, Mrs. Mary Joyce Fisher of Winona and Mrs. Lela Frances Cook of Grenada, two sons, James Slocum and George M. Slocum, both of Carrollton; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bennett of Greenwood, Mrs. Pearl Brown of Carrollton, Mrs. Daisy Bennett of McCarley and Mrs. Archie Willoughby of North Carrollton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
