George W. Moseley

George W. Moseley, 79, of Laurel died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Memory Chapel with burial in Sharon Cemetery. His nephews Dr. Michael Weeks of Olive Branch and Rev. Billy Higginbotham will officiate, along with Rev. P. J. Weeks of Magnolia Baptist Church, his home church.

Mr. Moseley was an accomplished hunter, fisherman and sportsman, who enjoyed traveling with his family and loved ones. He relished celebrating the holiday with family and friends. He believed in helping others and always treated everyone with respect and dignity. He will be greatly missed. His family will miss him most for his warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Mr. Moseley was a local businessman for many years in the Laurel area and had recently retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Washington and Birdie May Rayner Moseley.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Moseley; daughter, Sandra Moseley; and grandchild, Meredith Moseley all of Laurel; his sister, Ruthie Beard of Vicksburg, and brother, William Moseley of Brandon. He was also a very proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
