George Sant

WEST MONROE - Services for George Sant will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Glade Baptist Church, West Monroe, with the Revs. Leland Briggs and Bruce Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, under direction of Rush, Pineville.

Sant, 75, of Winnfield died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He was a native of Pioneer and a retired logger. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the south Pacific during World War II.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Sant and Joe Sant; one half-brother, Jack Sant; and one half-sister, Ruby Sant.

Survivors include three sons, Andy Sant of Pollock, Bobby Sant of Tullos and David Sant of Winnfield; one daughter, Connie Holden of Tioga; two brothers, W.T. Sant of Downsville and Claude Sant of Downsville; four sisters, Mary Matthews of Downsville, Myrtle Manfull of El Dorado, Ark., Bertha Robinson of Swartz and Irene Appleton of Arkansas; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Holden, Jonathon Sant, Daniel Sant, Joshua Sant, Terry Sant, Greg Sant and John Sant.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services Friday in the church.
