G. W. Warner Rites Slated

Funeral services for George W. Warner, 48, 504 Colquitt in Bossier City, who was found dead early Friday at his residence, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Bossier City Rose-Neath Chapel.

Mr. Warner was a native of Winnfield but had lived in Bossier City for the past 25 years and was a member of the city's First Baptist Church. He also was a veteran of World War II. The Bossier coroner's office reported his death resulted from natural causes, funeral home officials said.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Maggie Warner of Bossier City; three sisters, Mr[s]. Hazel Ford and Mrs. W. B. Grosjean, both of Bossier City, and Mrs. G. D. Easley, Stockton, Calif., and three brothers, Stafford W. Warner, Clifford Warner and Ben Tracy Warner, all of Bossier City.

Dr. J. C. Murphy, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Bossier City, will officiate for the services today and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Homer Cox Jr., Bobby Joe Smith, Alton Honeycutt, James Tippett, B. B. Town and C. A. Patton.
