George Wallace Jenkins

SPRINGHILL, LA.

Services for Mr. George Wallace Jenkins, 81, of Springhill, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday August 4 at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Moore will officiate. Burial: Springhill Cemetery. Plans are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Springhill.

He died Tuesday, August 2, 1983, at Minden Medical Center in Minden, La. after a short illness. Mr. Jenkins, born in Winnfield, La. and a resident of Springhill 46 years, was retired from International Paper Co.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine Jenkins of Springhill; two sons, G. Edward Jenkins and Jimmy Jenkins, of Atlanta, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Olive Watson of Vicksburg, Miss. and Mrs. Barbara Lee of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Mrs. Olive DeJean of Hodge, La.; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
