George Wade

SWEETWATER (RNS) -- George Walter Wade, 68, was found dead in his home in Sweetwater Thursday morning.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the 4th and Elm Church of Christ with Preston Cotham, the minister, officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery with McCoy's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was a retired chief clerk for the T&P Railroad.

He was born Oct. 16, 1903 in Sweetwater.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. C. A. Dacus Jr. of Fort Worth; three sisters, Mrs. Fay McDonald of Sweetwater, Mrs. Mabel Worthington of Madisonville and Mrs. Lucille Rollins [sic Rollans] of Roby; one brother, Cecil Wade of Sweetwater.

Pallbearers will be Jack Chapman, Kenneth Sparks, G. D. Morrison, Hudson Lincoln, Gerald Stevenson, Claude Scales, Wayne Stiles, and Clyde Nunn.
