George Wahl Dies Wednesday
DEFUNIAK -- Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon for retired MSgt. George W. Wahl. Mr. Wahl died at Eglin AFB Hospital Wednesday afternoon. He was 52.
A native of Freeport, Mr. Wahl had lived in Niceville for the past 15 years. He was a veteran of World War Two and the Korean War. After retiring from the Air Force he continued working for civil service.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emilie Wahl, daughter Miss Rita Wahl of Niceville; mother, Mrs. Daisy Wahl of Freeport; a brother, Kermit Wahl of Quincy; and a sister, Mrs. B. J. Butler of Fresno, Calif.
Services will be held at the First Methodist Church of Freeport with an Air Force chaplain officiating assisted by Rev. Woodrow Wilson. Burial will follow in Hatcher Cemetery with full military honors and Masonic Graveside rites. Clary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
