Georgia Audrey Bradley Evans
January 27, 1915 - December 3, 2015

Funeral services for Audrey Bradley Evans, 100, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev.Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Evans was born on January 27, 1915 in Crowville, LA to Gilbert and Alma Shirley Bradley and passed away on December 3, 2015, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Laurence Evans; her four brothers, Shirley Bradley, Sam Bradley, W.A. Bradley and Henry Gilbert “Jeanne” Bradley; one sister, Juanita Bradley Atkins; and nephew, Howard Atkins.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Evans Payne and her husband Russell of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandsons, Tommy Payne and his wife Sandy and their daughter Kristen of Baton Rouge, LA and Kevin Payne and his wife Stacey and their triplets Caroline, Scott, and Ashley of Destrehan, LA. Other survivors include her sister Marjorie Bradley Bristley of Houston, TX, and nieces and nephews Carolyn Bradley Jackson, Sam Bradley, Linda Atkins Perry, Jean Atkins Shaw, Jan Bradley Leake, Bill Bradley, Carl Edward Bradley, Kay Bristley Crawford, Connie Bristley Smith and Dale Bristley and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Audrey or “Sitta”, as she was affectionately called, grew up in Winnsboro, LA. After she married Laurence Evans, they lived in many places as they moved with his work including Monroe, LA, Califorina, Pennsylvania, Huntsville, AL, Baytown TX, Baton Rouge, Idaho Falls, ID, West Virginia, Texas City, and Houston, TX before retiring in West Monroe. She moved to Baton Rouge in 1998 to be near her daughter, Barbara. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Payne, Kevin Payne, Scott Payne, Matthew Perry and Gregory Newton.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Mausoleum Chapel.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Nottingham Nursing Home in Baton Rouge.
