Mother of 5 Area Residents Succumbs

Mrs. Samuel T. Sudduth, 76, mother of five residents of this area, died today at 1 a.m. in Reeves, La., after an illness of one year. Mrs. Sudduth's death followed that of her husband by exactly three weeks.

Surviving are four sons, S. J. (Jack), Archie C., H. E. (Dick) and Connie Luther Sudduth, all of Port Arthur, three daughters, Mrs. C. G. Parker of Bridge City, Mrs. Edward Kent of Baton Rouge, La. and Mrs. E. L. Elam of Reeves, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Congressional church at Reeves. Burial will be in Creel cemetery.
