Wilson Funeral Today
Funeral services for Georgia Thornhill Wilson, 51, of 3909 Blanks St., Monroe, were at 2 p.m. today in Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Winn and the Rev. Carol Winn officiating.
Burial was in the Columbia Hill Cemetery, Columbia, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.
Mrs. Wilson died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church and a bookkeeper-clerk for Northeast Louisiana University book store.
Survivors include her husband, A. B. (Curly) Wilson, Monroe; two sons, Wayne (Skip) Wilson, West Monroe and George (Tommy) Wilson, Monroe; a brother, Marcus Thornhill, Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Lyke, Columbia, Mrs. Mattie Littell, Grand Rapides, Mich., three grandchildren.
The family request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the NLU Athletic Scholarship Fund.
