Funeral services for Georgia W. Shaw, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2005 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Burial will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Shaw died May 7, 2005 at her residence in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Shaw was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe, where she was a member of the Kirland/Lawton Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Annie Bennett Eastern Star Lodge #181 and a past matron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Sam) Shaw, parents Charles and Maude Whitehead, brothers, Havard H. Whitehead, Sherman C. Whitehead, and sister Iris Fuller.

Survivors include her son, George F. Shaw and wife Nancy of New York, grandchildren, Leah, Rachel and Samantha Shaw, nieces, Donna Whitehead, Sherry Gummere and husband John, nephew, Jimmie Whitehead and wife Elaine, great niece, Christina L. Gummere, and great nephew, Daniel S. Gummere.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Wrenn, Jim DeMoss, Tom McCandlish, Chip Swearington, Jimmy Moore, Daniel S. Gummere, John Gummere and Robert Joyner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Towers, Duel Smith, Bobby Hayden, Bill Griggs, June Thatcher and Ed Tillman.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
