GERTIE WATKINS FOY

Gertie Watkins Foy died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 84.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Leake County, and had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 23 years. She was a member of Church of God of Holiness.

She is survived by three daughters, Lillian Green of Philadelphia, Jan Foy of Alexandria, La., and Glenda Stewart of Terry; three sons, Wayne Foy of South Haven, Martann Foy of Philadelphia and Smokey Foy of Vicksburg; three sisters, Nettie Ford, Loca Watkins and Alma Fryery, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, Cliff Watkins of Philadelphia and Grady Watkins of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Thomas Wayne Foy and James Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Green, Virgil Green, Thurston Foy, Charlie Brown, Max Dove and Bill Strohm.
