Of 6117 Burgundy street, on Saturday, November 6, 1948, at 8 o'clock p.m., GERTRUDE LELIA SANDIFER, beloved wife of Frank J. Avelis, mother of Freddie Mae Bordelon; daughter of Daisy Whittington and the late Charles Sandifer; sister of Mrs. Lena Temple, Hansford and Harvey Sandifer; also survived by one grandchild; aged 47 years; a native of McComb, Miss. and a resident of New Orleans for the past 20 years.

Remains will be forwarded to East Fork, Miss., for burial leaving New Orleans on Monday, November 8, 1948, at 8 o'clock a.m.
