Mrs. Gertrude Griffin
ALVIN, Tex. -- Mrs. Gertrude M. Griffin, 73, of Alvin, Tex., formerly of DeQueen, died Wednesday.
Mrs. Griffin was a Baptist.
Surviving are a son, Paul D. Griffin of Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Wise and Mrs. Louise Peterson, both of Alaska; three brothers, Madison Barr of Texas and Beull and Autrey Barr, both of California; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bell of Little Rock and Mrs. Phil Ray of Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was today at Horatio First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Horatio Cemetery by Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Gertrude Minerva Barr Griffin died January 6, 1971 in Alvin, Brazoria Co. Texas. Gertrude was born February 13, 1898 in Locksburg [sic Lockesburg], Sevier Co. Arkansas. She was married to the late Daudie Griffin June 10, 1917 in Sevier Co. Ar.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her two daughters, Juanita and son-in-law Leo Wise, Louise and son-in-law Carl Peterson of Ancorage [sic Anchorage], Alaska, her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Willa Dean Griffin of Alvin, Texas, and eight grand children.
Burial was in Horatio Cemetery beside her late husband.
