Mrs. Gladys O. Lurry, age 89 of Jena, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2006 at LaSalle Nursing Home.
Mrs. Lurry is the daughter of the late Elam and Mary Jane Holmes Allbritton.
Mrs. Lurry is survived by her husband: Thomas W. Lurry Sr.; four sons: Thomas W. Lurry Jr. of Alexandria, Willis D. Lurry of Jena, Robert E. Lurry of Olla, and Jeffery Shawn Lurry of Maurice; two daughters: Dee Lois Lurry of Austin, Texas and Mary Francis Lurry of Norman, Oklahoma; two brothers: G. H. Allbritton of Dallas, Texas, M. H. Allbritton of Jennings; one sister: Carolyn Garrison of Texas City, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lurry will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2006 in the Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend P. A. "Fox" Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Jena cemetery under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Funeral services for Gladys Allbritton Lurry, age 89, of Jena, will be held Sunday, November 5, 2006 in the chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. P.A. ``Fox'' Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Jena Cemetery.
Mrs. Lurry passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 in Jena.
She was a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Lurry is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Lurry, Sr. of Jena; four sons, T.W. ``Bill'' Lurry, Jr. and wife Linda of Alexandria and W.D. ``David'' Lurry and wife Mary of Jena, Robert E. ``Bob'' Lurry and wife Rene of Olla and Jeffery Shawn Lurry and wife Kay of Maurice; two daughters, Dee Lois Lurry of Austin, Texas and Mary Frances Lurry and husband Dan of Norman, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Shane, Trina, Thunder, Dewitt, Chanel, Brent, Ginnie, Brittany, Erin and Megan; her great-grandchildren, Kensley, Megan, Taylor, Thomas and Kate; two brothers, Melvin Allbritton and Guy Hollis Allbritton; and a sister, Carolyn Garrison.
