Mrs. Gladys Emmons
Mrs. Gladys Emmons, 83, formerly of Madison, died Saturday in St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burial in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
A native of Attala County, she was a member of Mount Hermon Presbyterian Church and for many years was a secretary in the attorney general's office.
Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. today and after 9:30 a.m. Monday.
She is survived by a son, Paul A. Emmons Jr. of Beauford, S.C.; a sister, Agnes Jones of Eagle Lake, Texas; eight grandchildren, Dan M. McDaniel Jr. of Jackson, Paul McDaniel and Paula McDaniel Cargill, both of Hattiesburg, Mrs. Will A. Merrill of Maitland, Fla., Mrs. Robert E. Hays of Lawton, Okla., Bert Emmons of Prairie Village, Kan., Mrs. John Pegram of Roxobel, N.C., and Mrs. J.H. Boyd Jr. of Columbus, Ga.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
