Gladys J. Baldwin
(November 28, 1914 - October 25, 2013)

Gladys J. Baldwin, 98, of Laurel, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Memory Chapel. Rev. Gene Douglas and Rev. Tim Hubbard will officiate. Burial will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Smith County.

Mrs. Baldwin was the owner of Baldwin Grocery Store in Laurel and was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer B. Baldwin in 1994 and four brothers, Lonnie Johnson, Gatha Johnson, Sam Johnson and Delton Johnson.

Survivors include one daughter, Edwina B. Barber and husband, Ken of Jackson, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Molly Lee and husband Eric of Medina, Tennessee; and three great grandchildren, Ethan, Asa and Emmett Lee.

The pallbearers are Bob Walsh, Sidney Parker, Joe Johnson, Wayne Nichols, Max Parker and Marvin Gavin. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Powell, Don Boyd, Randy Wall, Ronnie Smith, Tom Henderson and Richard Bradford.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Memory Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
