GLADYS M. VORE
Funeral for Gladys Maureen Vore, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Olive Branch Methodist Church in Junction City.
Officiating will be Dr. Dwain Miller. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from noon until service time on Thursday at the church.
Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Southside Chapel of Shreveport, La.
Gladys was born on April 16, 1918, in Blanchard, to Joseph and Mary Pratt Lyons. She passed away in Shreveport on Feb. 24.
She was a resident of Magnolia and former resident of Shreveport, where she was employed at the Bradford as a nurse. She was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Carl Vore; her parents, brothers, Elton, Elmer and Clyde Lyons; and sister, Hazel Lucas.
Survivors include her daughter, Jimmie Gayle Andrews and her husband, Pat; sister, Mary Lyons Byers; brother, Brodie Joe Lyons; grandchildren, Michelle Taylor, Bo and Michael Andrews; great-grandchildren, Micaela Bowman and her husband, Stan, Matt Williamson and his wife, Brittany, and Hazen Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, and nephews, Craig Byers, Phillip Byers, Steven Byers, Gary Ware, Clyde Lyons, Tracy Lyons, Bill Andrews, Michael Andrews, Bo Andrews, and Brian Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Andrews and Bobby Ware.
