Gladys Tine Jenkins
Gladys Tine Jenkins, 68, of Laurel, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Lake Park Hills Cemetery. Dr. Randall Turner will officiate.
She was retired from South Central Regional Medical Center where she worked as a nurse, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Laurel Iris Society, Republican Women, and Laurel Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles R. Jenkins; parents, Loyd Phillips and Zettie Walley Phillips; two brothers, Travis Phillips and Robert Phillips; one sister, Betty Lou Phillips; and nephews, Robert Shane Pugh and William Bill Phillips.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Bell Morgan of Stringer; grandson, Austin William Morgan of Stringer; two brothers, Curtis Phillips of Laurel and Henry Phillips of Bay Springs; and one sister, Wilma Allen of Stonewall.
Pallbearers will be Ray Smith, Brody Smith, Austin Morgan, Dale Allen, Greg Lowe and Jeff Barnett.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
