Services for Glenda Faye McKey will be at 10AM, Monday, June 20, 2011 at Eva Church of God, Monterey, LA with Rev. Whit Bass and Rev. Joel Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 6PM, Sunday, June 19th until time of service Monday, June 20th at Eva Church of God. Interment will be at Lone Pine Cemetery, Monterey under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Glenda Faye McKey was born August 9, 1946 and passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at her home after a struggle with cancer. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Wessie Morace; first husband, Glen Dale Ford; and sister, Bobbie Freeman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Cecil McKey, Jr; son, Wesley Kirk Ford of Monterey; daughter, Christal Brigman and husband, Darrell of Monterey; grandchildren, Wesley Kirk Ford, Jr and Heather Ford of Baton Rouge, Andrea Blaney of Baton Rouge, Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney and Brooke Brigman of Monterey; one great grandson, Bentley James of Baton Rouge; sisters, Scharlene Whitehead of Monterey, Connie Borgue of Monterey, Karen Wascom and husband Charles of Jonesville and Cindy Bass and husband Lank of Jonesville; brother, David Morace and wife Dianne of Monterey; sister-n-law, Connie Mulvihill and husband Adam of Pineville; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Will Bass, Caleb Bass, Dennis Wascom, Ronnie Duncan, Chris Rouse, Creighton McCall, Chris Powell and Billy Rouse. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney, Wesley Kirk Ford, Jr, Lank Bass, Charles Wascom, Charles Rushing and Grover Elliott.
