Gloria Faye Rollins

Gloria Faye Rollins, 57, of the Busy Corner community near Gloster, died Jan. 4, 2009, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville. Visitation will be 6 to 9 tonight at Royal Chapel Church near Gloster, and 1 p.m. Wednesday until services there at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Greg Beaty will officiate. Burial will be in Royal Chapel Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home in Gloster is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rollins was born March 15, 1951, in Amite County. She was the daughter of the late Fairley Etheridge and the late Thelma Whittington Etheridge.

She was a retired assistant teacher and secretary with the Amite County School District with nearly 30 years service. She was a member of Gloster Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Rollins of Busy Corner; two daughters, Glenna Rollins of Gloster and Greta Martyn and her husband Robert of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Wayne Etheridge and his wife Beverly of Crosby; one sister, Mandy Whetstone and her husband Kevin of Liberty; five grandchildren, five nephews and two nieces.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Etheridge, Kevin Whetstone, Robert Martyn, Joey Whittington, Jerry Allen Whittington and Freddie Randles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
