BENTON, LA - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy. 80 East, Bossier City-Haughton for Mr. Glyn H. Emmons, 67, of Benton, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1991 at 2:30 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Billy Pierce of Cypress Baptist Church where Mr. Emmons was a member.
Mr. Emmons entered into rest Sunday, Nov. 17, 1991 at Bossier Medical Center. He had been a lifelong resident of Bossier and was a veteran of W.W.II. Mr. Emmons was founder and retired owner of Emmons Landscaping. He was a former board member of the Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA. He was also a member of the Bossier Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ethel C. Emmons of Benton; one daughter, Glenda Aycock and husband Raymond of Benton; one son, Larry Emmons and wife Cathy of Shreveport; one sister, Doris Hebert of Carthage, Texas; one brother, Phillip B. Emmons of Shreveport; and four grandchildren, Russ and Drew Aycock and Jay and Jonathon Emmons.
Pallbearers will be Walter Johnson, James W. Rogers, Wilton Chance, Larry Smith, Ricky Avery and Lucian Furr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Falkner, Bill Cherry, Tom Merideth and Harry Adams.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. R. V. Markham, Dr. Bipin Turakhia, the 1-S nurses and Deanna Mitchell, R.N.-ICU of Bossier Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cypress Baptist Church Building Fund.
