Mrs. Propes

HENDERSON -- Services for Mrs. Golda Propes, 83, Route 5, Henderson, are set for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roquemore Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Irwin Gould and the Rev. Ralph Smimons [sic Simmons] officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Henderson.

Mrs. Propes died Tuesday morning in a Henderson hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Feb. 2, 1896, Kaufman County and lived many years in Rusk County. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Roquemore Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Armstrong of Henderson; three sons, Raymond Propes and Crim Propes, both of Henderson and Clyde Propes of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Romae Cee Standard of Houston; one brother, Rade Stewart of Houston; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers include Douglas Dunn, Lynn Wallace, Carlton Howeth, Gerald Howeth, John Reed and Preston Hand.
