Mrs. Goldie A. Noblit
Goldie A. Noblit, 89, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Jacksonville, TX, and lived in Sulphur since 1955. She attended Maplewood First Baptist Church of Sulphur. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her sons Jimmy Frank Noblit and his wife Marion of Alexandria, and Stephen Timothy Noblit of Sulphur; daughter Linda Kay Little of Sulphur; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years George F. Noblit, and her brothers Virgil Henderson, Vernon ``Buddy'' Henderson, and Gordon Henderson.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation was from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Sunday. The family request that memorial donations be made to The Southern Baptist International Mission Board, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.
