Grace E. Crow
(February 24, 1920 - July 21, 2010)

Grace E. Crow 90 of Stronghurst passed away July 21, 2010 at 3:05 a.m. at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stronghurst.

She was born February 24, 1920 in Clayton Louisiana the daughter of Howard and Leona Crum Rehm. She married George F. Crow July 1, 1945 in Manhattan Kansas, where they were stationed at. He preceded September 16, 2000.

She is survived by two daughters Donna (Alan) White of Stronghurst, IL, Debbie (John) Lozier of Monmouth, IL; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren of Monmouth, IL; one Brother Jessie (Jan) Rehm of Stronghurst, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, 6 sisters.

She was raised in Louisiana. She also served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After marriage they had their first home in Monmouth, IL for two years before moving to Stronghurst, IL to farm for 17 years. They returned to Monmouth and lived in Larchland, IL. Grace ran the gas station and visited with all the great neighbors for years, while raising two girls. Grace worked at Barnes Super Value in the Meat Dept. for a while; otherwise she took care of her husband and two girls. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching cardinals. She was always laughing about something even when living at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst for six years. She loved the people at Oak Lane, they were good to her, and she was always kidding with somebody.

Graveside service will be Sunday July 25, 2010, 3:00 pm at Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the grave. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside at Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL.
