Grace Ernestine Funderburg

Grace Ernestine Funderburg, 73, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local Hospital on Sunday, June 8, 2003.

She was born November 8, 1929, in Gandy, Louisana to Everett and Vinnie (Dalton) Williams and was raised in the Gandy area.

She married Frank Edward Ross in 1945 in Gandy and they moved to California. For a short time before settling in Canyonville (Oregon). In the late 60's she moved extensively living in 11 different states before settling in The Dalles in 1983.

In 1969, she married Virgil Lee Funderburg in Weed, California.

She enjoyed homemaking, sewing, quilt making, Television game shows, dice and cards.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Lee Funderburg, David Eugene Ross and Jerry Don Ross, all of The Dalles; four grandsons, Aubrey Lee Funderburg, Scotty Lee Funderburg, both of The Dalles, Michael Lee Funderburg, Portland; and Joshua Shane Ross, Montesano, Washington; two great-grandsons, Bryson Michael and Kolby Aaron Ross; her sister, Thelma Chism, Florien, Louisana; stepchildren, Patricia Ann Bulter and Larry Lee Funderburg, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; step-grandchildren, Larry Lee Jr., Jesse, Missy and Shannon Funderburg.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Allen Ross in September of 2001.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
