Grady Albert Ford Jr.

Grady Albert Ford, Jr., 73, of Unionville, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital.

He was born on April 11, 1934 in Culpeper, VA to the late Grady A. Ford, Sr. and Elsie Irene Jenkins Hendrick. Mr. Ford was a graduate of Culpeper County High School and served our country in the United States Army. He was employed with A & P for 35 years as the Assistant Meat Manager and later worked at Calhoun's Meat Market. In his younger years Mr. Ford enjoyed bowling and bird hunting with his dogs. He also took great pleasure in tending to his grass and garden.

He is survived by his two daughters, Teresa M. Auth and Cynthia L. Ford both of Unionville, VA., one sister, Sue Larson of Manassas, four grandchildren, Daniel Auth, Sara Auth, Emily Auth, and Davanna Ford, one great grandchild, Jacob Auth, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Marie Pritt Ford, one sister, Janet Johnson, and two step-fathers, Raymond Deal and Ray Hendrick.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church in Lignum with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 330 and V.F.W. Post # 2524.
