GRADY BEECH
Grady Beech, 61, Rt. 5, Laurel, Calhoun Community, died Monday night at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, La. after an extended illness. He was born in Ellisville and was a carpenter employed by Teddie Craven. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Big Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Parrish officiating. Burial was in Calhoun Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Audrey Beech; four daughters: Mrs. Burl Lofton, Mrs. Willis T. Everett, both of Rt. 5, Laurel; Mrs. Kenneth Hinton, Marrero, La.; Mrs. Pat Jefcoats, Rt. 1, Soso; one son, Douglas M. Beech of Rt. 5, Laurel; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Ollie Davis, Fulton; Mrs. Jewel Smith, Rt. 3, Laurel; Mrs. Louise Evanson, Rt. 1, Seminary; and two brothers: Joe Beech, Rt. 1, Moselle; Otis Beech, Rt. 1, Moss.
Memory Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Nephews served as pallbearers.
