Funeral services for Grady R. Stewart, 76, of Winnsboro will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the chapel of Community Memorial with the Rev. Francis Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Stewart died Monday, March 26, 2001 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, and was in the heating/air conditioning business for many years. He served in U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS DeGrassee, in the South Pacific. He loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Stewart, Winnsboro; daughter Marilyn Neaville and husband Phillip, Ruston; son Dennis Stewart, Rayville; step-son, Jimmy Cruse, Livingston, La.; brother, Charles Stewart, Winnsboro; sister Mary Ann Stewart, Florida; brothers-in-law, Curtis Adcock and Buddy Adcock, Winnsboro.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Jamie Godbold, David Godbold, John Ludwig, Charles Ludwig, Evan Stewart, and nephew, Robert, ``Bubba'' Stewart. Other grandchildren are Kimberly Ludwig, Catherine Stewart, Erroll Neaville, and Johnny Cruse.
Honorary pallbearers are H.D. Jones, Winton P. Lofton, and Floyd Posey.
