Greely Walter “G.W.” Estelle

Greely Walter Estelle “G.W.”, 65, of Denham Springs, died on Sunday, March 22, 2009, after a short battle with lung cancer.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda; sons, Shawn and his wife Michelle, and Phillip and his wife Stephanie, all of Denham Springs; six grandsons, Orry, Shane, Trent, Rhett, Blake and Dylan; brothers, Terry Estelle, of Bossier City, and Don Estelle, of Zachary; mother-in-law, Vesta Sousa Lasseigne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy and JoAnn Whitehead, and Jimmy and Christy Bourgeois.
He was a member of Don Avenue Baptist Church. He was employed with Triad Controls Systems, and he designed and built control systems for 39 years.
Funeral services will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Visitation on Tuesday, March 24, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday from noon until religious service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Craig James and the Rev. James Speer. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Orry, Shane, Trent, Rhett, Blake and Dylan; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Bourgeois and Leroy Whitehead; and nephews, Brent Whitehead, Kyle Bourgeois, Mark Boyer and Dr. Louis Minsky. Honorary pallbearers are “his guys” at Triad Control Systems, some who have worked for him for more than 30 years. Their dedication and loyalty meant so much to him. A trumpet will be played by nephew Chase Zieman and a reading by Tom Jones and Phillip Estelle.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses on the oncology floor. A very special thanks to Dr. Louis and Lori Minsky for their many hours they spent seeing to his great care. Also thanks to Dr. Castine and his staff. Thanks also to the family for spending so many hours by his side, especially nieces, Kari, Lori, Chanda and Mandy. To the many friends who came everyday to see him, words can't express what this meant to him.
