G. C. Smith, Jr., Winn Native, Buried at Hebron

Funeral services were held at Pinehurst Baptist Church in Pineville, Wednesday at 2 o'clock for G. C. Smith, Jr., 52, of Pineville.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Smith was reared in the Hebron Community. A short graveside service and burial was held at the Hebron Cemetery Wednesday afternoon with Rev. W. D. Carson of Pineville officiating.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Murel Spillers Smith and two daughters, Claudette Smith of Pineville and Mrs. Audrey Calhoun, three grandchildren of Orlando, Fla., two brothers, R. D. and Ray Smith of Pineville, five sisters, Mrs. Homer Meredith and Mrs. Ruby Meredith of Columbia, Mrs. Overton Deville of Orange, Texas, Mrs. Lois Lincecum of Natchez, Miss., and Mrs. Elane Brown of Grayson.

Nephews were pallbearers.
