Rites held for Mrs. D. B. Red

Services were at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hulett Chapel for Mrs. D.B. Red of 309 Sixth Ave., who died Saturday afternoon at Hattiesburg Convalescent Center.

Rev. Kermit McGregor and Rev. Ed Johnson officiated. Burial was in Roseland Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bill Carley, Robert A. Walker, Allen Walker, Raymond McLeod, John Rayborn and Vernon Merrifield.

Mrs. Red had lived in Hattiesburg since 1908 and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eucaria Club and a former member of the Sunshine Home and Garden Club.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Joan) Newcomb of Hattiesburg, three grandchildren, Dan, Leslie Anne and Ben Newcomb; a brother, Raymond P. McCarty of Shubuta; and several nieces and nephews.
