Guy Long, 60, Dies Early Today; Funeral Saturday
Guy Long, 60, died at his home in the Coronado Apartments at 2:30 this morning. He had been in failing health for
five years.
Mr. Long was born Aug. 12, 1903 at Gretna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Long. He was married March 13, 1926 in Omaha to
Beatrice Herring.
His wife survives as well as a son, Larry Long, Milwaukee, Wis., and a grandson; sister, Mrs. Dewey Jensen,
Minneapolis, Minn.
A son Robert, preceded him in death.
Mr. Long lived most of his life in Plattsmouth. He was owner and operator of the Plattsmouth Locker Plant for 10
years.
He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Masonic Lodge No. 6, AF & AM, Royal Arch Masons Chapter No. 3.
Visiting hours will be Friday afternoon and evening from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 at Caldwell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth.

Guy Long
Funeral services were held at the Caldwell Funeral Home Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. for Guy Long, with the Rev. Eric Geib
officiating; and Masonic graveside services.
Mrs. George Jacobs was organist. Pallbearers were Russell Campbell, Paul Campbell, H. E. Tincher, Richard Tincher,
Ray Herring, and Melvin Todd.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
