H.K. Ford
May 14, 1939 - July 26, 2011

A resident of Baker, he passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 after a lengthy illness. By his bedside was his wife of 54 years, Sadie, his son Marty and wife Ashley and his brother-in-law, Marvin Nevels, who has been a blessing to H.K. and his family during his illness.

He was in the field of construction with Turner Industries, a native of Gloster, MS, and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Visitation at Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 5-9pm, with masonic services. Visititation resumes on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 11am until religious services at 1pm in the chapel, conducted by Rev. Everette Hurley. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors.

H.K. is survived his wife, Sadie N. Ford; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Ashley Ford; two sisters, Joyce Cox and Peggy McCleary both of Baker; and three grandchildren, Thorne, Raephe and Bayleigh.

Preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Ercell Ford; brother: Bobby Ford, and sister: Vivian Ford Roberts.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Nevels, Glenn Stevens, Ron Ivey, Blaine Ivey, Kirk Spring and Dale Ford.

Honorary pallbearers are Connie Everette, Abe Dunn, Calvin Cotton, Greg Cotton, Charles Dixon, James Guerin and Dr. Steven Spegg.

He was a graduate of Baker High School and a Member of Masonic Lodge #441 of Baker.
