McCarty, H.M.
H.M. ``Mike'' McCarty, 75, died Saturday, January 1, 1994 in a Wichita Falls
hospital. Services were 2 p.m. Monday at Aulds Funeral Home with Roger
Deerinwater, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Archer
City Cemetery.
Mr. McCarty was born September 9, 1918 in Megargel. He and Catherine Pryor were
married December 22, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a member of First Baptist
Church of Archer City. He was a veteran of the Army Air Forces, serving in
World War II. He was stationed in New Guinea and in Hickam Field, Hawaii. He
had been employed as a pumper for Ausanka Oil Operations of Wichita Falls for
more than 23 years in Throckmorton County. He retired from Ladd Petroleum in
1984. He was involved in farming most of his life.
Pallbearers were Van Arlan Moses, John Keeter, Mac Devrow, Craig Cowan, Lyndle
Manual and Frank Bruton.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Bianca Jackson of Lake Kickapoo.
Christine Timmons of Throckmorton and Marty of Wichita Falls; two sons, Michael
of Wichita Falls and Kirk of Arlington, Washington; a sister, Tess Watson of
Archer City; and seven grandchildren.
