Hal Carpenter

Funeral services for Hal Carpenter, 72, of Chatham will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Caney Lake Baptist Church, Chatham. Rev. ``Booty'' Garlington will be officiating. Interment will follow at Caney Lake Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mr. Carpenter was born September 22, 1935 in Lone Pine and passed away May 16, 2008 in West Monroe. He was an active member of Caney Lake Baptist Church and a member of Hoods Mill Hunting Club. Mr. Carpenter loved the game of baseball and liked hanging out with his friends at J & H Cookin.

Mr. Carpenter was survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Carpenter; son, Jeff Carpenter and wife Cris, Kevin Carpenter and wife Karen; brother, Ronnie Carpenter; sister, Gay Lindsly; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Caney Lake Baptist Church.
