MOOR

ANAHUAC (Sp) -- Services for Halley Estes Moor, 71, of Anahuac were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Anahuac with the Rev. Fred Dawson III officiating.

Moor, a native of Hankamer and a longtime resident of Anahuac, died Monday in a Baytown hospital.

He was a retired rice farmre and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Moor was also a former mayor and city councilman of Anahuac.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ina Corine Moor of Anahuac; one son, Halley Ray Moor of Hankamer; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Ann Edmonds and Mrs. Janice Ellen Villanez, both of Anahuac; one brother, Euell Moor of Hankamer; and four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Harbour, Mrs. Mildred Harmon and Gladys Hankamer, all of Hankamer, and Hazel Moor of Anahuac.

Eight grandchildren also survive.

Burial was in Anahuac Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dan Hankamer, Link Nolte, A. J. Harmon Jr., Frank Miller, Lee Mendenhall, Bub and Johnny Turner and Glen Mausch.

Honorary pallbearers were Bud Chambliss, Dr. Lloyd Fahring, J. R. Johnin, Joe Banin and Dearn Blue Jr.

Arrangements were under direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.
